eDirectory includes a thorough search function. The search function on the homepage is used to find listings, events, classifieds, articles, deals, and blogs. eDirectory has two fields for the search option: Keyword and Location. The Keyword Option is used to search for category, title, and other words related to what you are trying to find. The Location is used to filter the items located in a specific place: city, state, or country.
Once you have typed in a keyword(s) and hit Search, you will be shown these options in a List by default. However, you can select Map View to view your options by a specific location. You can further filter your search on the left hand side of the screen by Type, Category, and Location. To further filter the most applicable options, you can choose how you want your options displayed: Relevancy, Distance, Alphabetical, Popular, and Upcoming. All of these filtering options for a search allow for visitors to see their options and hone in on a particular one to best suite their needs.
